About the Site
For some reason, I've never been attracted to the idea of having a domain titled firstnamelastname.com and sadly, the iterations of elea.com/net/org have already been taken, so I thought I would choose a meaningful phrase for a domain name instead. "In essence" indicates that as long as this place is registered by me, it will always be reflective of my nature. Also, I am a bit of a logophile, and "essence" has always been one of my favourite words.
In-essence.org is currently hosted off of A Small Orange, and was registered through Netrillium. I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create graphics, and am implementing Lokesh Dhakar's lightbox script on my portfolio page.
About the Person Behind the Site
My name is Elea ("Ellie") and I like making sites clean and pretty. I grew up in the Bay Area and am currently a full-time college student majoring in Management Information Systems. From time to time, I also take on web design side gigs. After graduation, I hope to find a job either in UI design or web development, and eventually move to San Francisco.
