I’m Elea (pronounced as “El-lee”): coffee addict, web developer (currently at BillShrink), internet nerd, and giant dorkasaurus. I first started blogging (though not on this site) in the midst of pre-adolescence and somehow just kept going. Nowadays, this site’s a semi-neglected stream of consciousness, but perhaps one day I’ll develop poignancy.
At the moment, I’m living in the Bay Area with my spunky terrier and boyfriend. Things I like to do include taking photos, reading, singing/karaoking, and going to live concerts.

Why is your name spelled that way? Is it short for anything?
Well, traditionally Elea is a nickname for “Eleanor”, and you usually see it spelled out as “Ellie” or “Elly”. In my case, however, it’s not short for anything.

Err…why do certain posts drop mentions of hospitals/doctors/neurologists?
Since 2007, I have had a medical condition that mainly manifests itself in the form of myoclonus. Doctors are stumped as to whether it’s a mild form of epilepsy or a movement disorder and my health tends to go up and down. Sometimes I deal with it just fine and other times, not so much, in which case, you’re likely to see me write/whine about it.
